sibling reality that's almost as exciting as house of carters [watching a TV commercial advertising for the HPV vaccination]
me: Wait, were those lesbians?! Krystal: No, Rebekah. That was a mother and daughter. |

new hair! I can't decide if I look like a soccer mom, a power dyke, or a girl who just had a boring self-indulgent mid-20s image crisis. Thanks to til_shes_irish for the stylist recommendation--Lauren Jeffries at The Carriage House in Harvard square is super pleasant, made me feel talkative (and when do I ever feel talkative with strangers?!) and did a good job of listening-to-me-yet-also-offering-advice. If you live in Boston and are looking for a stylist I recommend her. I purposefully included my trashy red velvet sheets in the shot. Current Music: one tree hill (KRYSTAL'S) |

IT HAS RISEN ! beautiful, sweet, raining, inspiration. ------- and a new feeling has manifested itself. oh woah ohwoah. i've been writing all morning and composing songs. our house seems to be becoming a house of working artists. i live with a wonderful painter who IS um phenomenally talented. while he is painting i am making instruments and recording songs, and writing lyrics. the job search is slow. the economy is lethargic. but i thank we'll make it. oh oh and we tried to contact a spirit last night in our basement. we made a board. here is the looks of it : i thought it was silly. and i laughed too much whilst the summoning of leah the ghost that was 'under' us. it's a wonderful summer day for ripe midwestern cantaloupe. they're huge and smell sweet. dripping from your mouth. one thing i do like about the region i am planted in at the moment, fresh produce--- it is like the fruit from a type of heavenly vine. |

There is no charge for awesomeness... or attractiveness. Hey Kung Fu Panda is SO GOOD! At our local theater, movies are $6 on Tuesday nights, so Krystal and I have been going to the movies more frequently. The animation is excellent, which sounds like a boring thing, but the little animals looked so realistic and fuzzy I wanted to pet them. Anyway and the movie is entertaining and adorable, and kind of irreverent about children's movie norms--like, they take a lot of "expected" stuff and surprise you in funny ways--and also, I'm just a huge sucker for trite Buddhist shit (note: I do not think Buddhism is trite, but I think Buddhism in movies is almost always trite... but I love it anyway.) I slept in my new red satin sheets, took Tylenol PM and turned on my window unit AC, and I finally got a decent night's sleep. It still took me two hours to fall asleep--I keep doing this weird doze off/wake up/can't go back to sleep pattern--but 7 hours is better than the 4 I've been getting lately. If I turn into one of those people who regularly get insomnia I am going to have to give myself a lobotomy or something. I hate this shit. Following in the footsteps of scarletgeryon and grouchetta I'm getting all my hair chopped off todayyyyyy. Current Mood: chipper |

my employeer has decided to use a new "Nanny" softwear. Unfortunately, it is also 'free ware'. Yup you guessed it... beeing cheap has serious draw backs. Sites like Youtube and photobucket are forbidden... as is my church. Since it is freeware it boggs down our system, gives us spam, and generally irritates the snot out of us... all while allowing any site that advertises with them (racket ain't it?).
Fortunately, Livejournal pays the 'protection money'... |

on free ice cream being the biggest deal EVER This week, a man and a woman outside our office were giving away free M&M ice cream bars. On our way to lunch, we got the ice cream bars from the man and ate them (before lunch because, well, it was hot and the ice cream would melt!) Free ice cream Round 1: We ate our lunch and went back, and... got some more free ice cream, from the woman this time, and we put the bars in the freezer at work and ate them a few hours later. Free ice cream Round 2: It was... a little too much ice cream/excitement for one day. Erikka and I could barely play ping pong. |
